- Liebig condensers are designed to cool and condense hot vapour as part of a distilling process
- The apparatus features a straight inner condensing tube surrounded by an outer jacket of cold running water
- For increased efficiency, cold water should always be pumped into the bottom of the condenser jacket and out of the top tube
- Manufactured from clear, heat resistant borosilicate glass
